We are a husband & wife team & we love guiding students through the rewarding transformation of raw clay into permanent, personal works of art. Paul throws in terracotta, a traditionalist in many ways. preferring his kick wheel to the plug in. His heart follows the highly decorative tradition of Maiolica. Louise prefers to throw in stoneware, both functional & decorative pieces. Her sculptural works can be found in galleries in The Lake District & Cornwall. We both enjoy teaching throwing & hand building methods & enjoy witnessing first hand the meditative process which anchors the student into the present & shuts out the everyday issues.
